Hennovation On-line course 

Based on the extension guidelines an online e-learning course was developed for veterinary and agricultural students and the Continuous Professional Development of advisors working in the poultry sector. The online course covers the issues addressed in this project and emphasizes the links between animal health and welfare as well as sustainability and efficiency.

The course is divided into two sections: one on feather pecking and one on end of lay. Each section includes different modules. The course includes theoretical and practical training and is addressed to advisors and veterinary students. It is based on the extension guidelines on feather pecking and end of lay and the outcomes reported by the collaborative networks. Innovations and technical challenges are made available through clear visual messages. The online training material includes presentations, technical notes, fact sheets, case studies and other learning resources such as videos and web sites.

The course is made freely available on a user-friendly platform that allows an ongoing update. Participants can edit posts and comments that will be answered by the project members.
